They are the archetype of the Tartufi dolci born in a small Piedmontese town near the truffle capital Alba: The Tartufi dolci extraneri.
Very good dark chocolate gives the extra black tartufo a special tartness and intensity. The sweet Piedmont IGP hazelnuts crack with every bite. The tart aroma gives this chocolate truffle a grown-up character - an exciting truffle speciality, then, which can be enjoyed very well with a barrique-aged grappa.
Store in a cool (< 18 °C) and dry place, gluten-free.
